EWC
The Everyone’s Welcome Campaign Fund (EWC) is a campus-wide diversity initiative that is a collaboration between the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, the Diversity Affairs Council, and Student Union. The campaign was designed and advocated for by students in order to provide additional funding and resources for student groups seeking to program inclusive events that specifically and meaningfully facilitate and further the tenants of the fund. The Everyone’s Welcome Campaign Fund represents our shared commitment to the values of inclusion and respect as a community. Our greatest strengths as a University community come from the diversity of perspectives of our members. These values have been challenged on our campus, and through the EWC fund, we are working to transform those challenges into a campus-wide effort to increase opportunities for engagement, education, dialogue, and support for diversity. The campaign encourages the University community to reflect on and to challenge assumptions about the role of class, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, and other aspects of identity, and the implications for student groups and their events. The purpose of the Everyone’s Welcome Campaign Fund is to help shape how members of our community think about the world.
